As the number of coronavirus cases in India increased to 137, religious places like temples, mosques, and gurudwaras are either being closed or foreigners are being banned from entering the premises. The central and state governments have also issued advisories asking them to avoid public gathering.
The famous Siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai is also closed for further orders. Many other temples like Mahalakshmi Temple, Mumbadevi Temple, Gajanan Maharaj Temple, and Shirdi’s Sai Baba Temple have also been closed for devotees.
The Mahakal Temple Committee in Ujjain has indefinitely postponed the Bhasmarti darshan at the famous Shiva temple. Mehandipur Balaji temple is also closed for devotees in Rajasthan.
Historic sites like Red Fort, Qutub Minar and Taj Mahal, have also been closed for tourists.All major religious sites across the country have been closed due to the havoc of Corona virus.
