

The U.S. | On Thursday, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) raised its Cruise Travel Health Notice (THN) to a Level 4 — telling consumers to avoid cruising, even if they’ve been vaccinated. Travel industry reaction was swift, pointed and overwhelmingly negative. Leaders stress that the cruise industry has stronger health/safety protocols than those on land and that COVID-19 cases on ships still remain far less percentagewise than what’s being experienced in the U.S. on land.
