Today, President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. made additional disaster assistance available to the State of New Mexico by authorizing an increase in the level of Federal funding for Public Assistance projects undertaken in the New Mexico as a result of wildfires, straight-line winds, flooding, mudflows, and debris flows during the period of April 5 to July 23, 2022.
Under the President’s order today, Federal funds for Public Assistance, including direct Federal assistance, has been increased to 100 percent of the total eligible costs for projects undertaken in response to the Cerro Pelado Fire in Los Alamos and Sandoval Counties.
