National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan spoke with newly appointed Republic of Korea (ROK) National Security Advisor Cho Tae-yong in an introductory call today. Mr. Sullivan expressed appreciation for Mr. Cho’s service to the Alliance during his most recent posting as the ROK’s Ambassador to the United States. Mr. Sullivan conveyed his hope that he and Mr. Cho will work closely together in the coming weeks and months to further strengthen the ironclad U.S.-ROK Alliance, including in support of President Yoon’s upcoming State Visit to the United States in April.
