Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken met today in Munich with German Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs Annalena Baerbock. The Secretary thanked Germany for its close collaboration and strong support for Ukraine, including military, financial, and humanitarian assistance. Secretary Blinken underscored the United States’ steadfast commitment to NATO and welcoming Sweden and Finland into the Alliance as swiftly as possible. The Secretary and Foreign Minister also discussed cooperation on climate change, helping Moldova meet its energy needs, and managing the global challenges posed by the PRC.
