Senior Official to the Secretary of State in the Office of Global Women’s Issues Kat Fotovat will travel to New York City from March 6-14, 2023, as a senior member of the U.S. Delegation to the 67th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW).
Senior Official Fotovat will represent the United States in formal CSW meetings, conduct bilateral meetings, and participate in the United States’ high-level side events to draw attention to U.S. priorities around this session of the CSW’s priority theme, “Innovation and technological change, and education in the digital age for achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls.” This will include a session highlighting progress made on the Global Partnership for Action on Gender-Based Online Harassment and Abuse, and how global networks and movements are catalyzing action to end technology-facilitated gender-based violence. and how global networks and movements are catalyzing action to end technology-facilitated gender-based violence.
