Interstride's University Rankings feature the top U.S. universities by international student employment outcomes

As growth in international student enrollment at U.S. universities struggles to keep pace with other competing nations, it is critical to highlight what matters for international students: employment outcomes. Interstride, a leading higher-education technology platform, has launched its inaugural U.S. university rankings for international students. The rankings highlight over 170 higher-ed institutions based on international students' employment outcomes after graduation.

Interstride's report ranks U.S. universities on five key factors: the number of international students enrolled, students' success in finding temporary employment through the Optional Practical Training (OPT) and the STEM OPT Extension programs, alumni's success in securing permanent residency through employment, and the number of international staff and faculty employed.

"International students consider employability during the admissions process, yet there is no easy, unbiased way to judge that," said Nitin Agrawal, Interstride co-founder and CEO. "International students heavily rely on rankings, but they don't show how universities perform on career outcomes. So, we wanted to change that."

Interstride's university rankings help international students identify universities that are exhibiting leadership in attracting, retaining, and supporting international students in finding employment in the U.S. This differs from traditional rankings with opaque methodologies, subjective metrics, and indicators that have little impact on international students and their career outcomes.

Interstride's rankings, in contrast, highlight what matters to international applicants and students: career support and employment outcomes. With international student enrollment growing at a faster rate in competitor markets such as the U.K., Canada, and Australia, employability is an important differentiation factor for U.S. universities.

"Schools can benefit from this new data as it will allow them to compare their own efforts at international student recruitment and job placement with other schools," said Agrawal.

Rosterfy is excited to announce that ASX-listed technology expansion capital fund Bailador Technology Investments Limited (\"Bailador\", ASX:BTI) has today announced a $9.8m investment in Rosterfy alongside other sophisticated investors.

Rosterfy, a market-leading mass volunteer and workforce management platform, has secured a Series A round led by Bailador Technology Investment Limited. Bailador, a Sydney-based investment firm, has an impressive reputation for identifying exciting and fast-growing SaaS businesses.

The announcement marks a new era of growth for the business, which was founded in 2015 in Melbourne, Australia, envisioned by Co-Founders, Bennett Merriman, Shannan Gove and Chris Grant. In 2022, Rosterfy was the platform behind over 10 million hours of volunteering across 26 countries around the world including the world's largest events and charitable organizations.

Bailador's Co-Founder and Managing Director, David Kirk, will be joining as the company's new chairman. The former CEO of Fairfax Media and past captain of the All Blacks Rugby Team, Kirk brings significant experience in leadership and strategy to Rosterfy, having held senior positions including currently as Chairman of KMD Brands, owner of Rip Curl and Kathmandu.

"Rosterfy has developed a market-leading volunteer management solution, which is evident in their strong growth rates and the quality of customers." - David Kirk, Bailador Co-Founder

David said: "Having worked with multiple NFP organisations myself, I recognise the important role that volunteers play in enabling NFPs to deliver on their mission, as well as the challenge of being able to hire, schedule and retain those volunteers.

"The Rosterfy team has developed a market-leading volunteer management solution that has found strong product-market fit, which is evident in their strong growth rates and the quality of the customers they have acquired."

In addition to Bailador's investment, Rosterfy will also welcome prominent tech investor Steve Power, who will also join the investment round to support Rosterfy's go-to-market strategy, particularly their expansion into the USA.

Power has extensive experience in scaling companies globally, having previously held senior executive positions at a number of successful Australian B2B SaaS companies including ReachLocal, BigCommerce and Deputy.

It's no surprise that Bailador has identified Rosterfy as a great investment opportunity as they seek high-growth investment opportunities at the forefront of tech, particularly those businesses that provide innovative and change-making solutions to customers and organisations.

Rosterfy's volunteer management software platform offers non-profit organisations, charities and Sporting Federations a way to effectively manage their volunteer programs.

CEO and Co-Founder Bennett Merriman said, "We're excited to welcome the Bailador team and Steve Power to the Rosterfy family. With their collective experience and shared passion for our mission, we look forward to accelerating our product roadmap for our customers and their volunteers so they can continue to make a difference in their communities. This is the start of an exciting next chapter and timely acknowledgment that our global team and platform are making a real difference."

School Tuition Organizations, in Arizona, have been a source of funding for students K-12 in private schools to go to the school that is best for their individual needs. While many organizations act to fill the gaps in any child's ability to attend a school of their choice, a new organization has emerged with a mission to provide new opportunities and do good work.

Community Reinvestment: Low Income Based Scholarships is a non-denominational organization focused on applying private school vouchers to students that need them most.

"We have systems in place to allow for low-income families to qualify, we also reach out to schools to learn about and rank the overall need of a school as well as research where a donation will have its highest community impact," states Carly Bodmer, Executive Director of Community Reinvestment: Low Income Based Scholarships. School Tuition Organizations have been around since 1997, and in 2006, corporations became allowed to participate in tax credit-worthy donations to aid low-income scholarships, a program that is smaller in tax dollar contributions than the individual school vouchers in the past.

"This organization identifies the demographics, needs, and programs within the private school ecosystem, and allows corporate donors to decide how to aid and impact communities with their donations. We do not influence the types of programs or students that they wish to support, only that the income qualifications provide new opportunities for families that might not otherwise have the ability to go to a school with the resources needed in order to allow their child to thrive," Bodmer states.

Community Reinvestment: Low Income Based Scholarships has worked with guidance from banking authorities and educational institutions to create a program that is purpose-driven, and accessible. Examples of the data-driven deciding factors would include (but are not limited to): special needs, defined programs such as STEM and Montessori, % of overall LMI (low/moderate income) need within a school as a whole, county, whether students have been a part of the foster system in Arizona, and other factors related to need and risk.

The goals of the data-driven organization are to measure the long-term impact within communities and lower the illiteracy, crime, and incarceration rates in Arizona. There are many problems to solve in this space, and matching corporations with packages of need that match their internal giving goals is the current focus. Corporate donations to Community Reinvestment: Low Income Based Scholarships utilizes the only dollar-for-dollar tax credit available in Arizona, and the goal is to maximize the use of this ability, in partnership with the Arizona Department of Revenue, to impact communities with the highest need.
